Zurück in Peking...

... nach unserem kurzen Trainingslager in Seoul sind wir Fünfkämpfer wieder im Olympischen Dorf eingetroffen. Der Himmel ist deutlich klarer als noch bei unserer Abfahrt, daher ist auch die Wärme nicht mehr so belastend :-) Jetzt heißt es weiterhin auf den Wettkampf konzentrieren, auch wenn einige Sportler aus den anderen Sportarten ihre Medallien schon feiern können ...

Endlich angekommen!

Nach langem Flug und noch längerem Waffencheck am Flughafen habe ich es endlich ins Olympische Dorf geschafft. Morgen ist die Eröffnungsfeier... ich bin riesig gespannt!

The outfitting of the German Pentathlon Team for Beijing

Finally we are well equiped for the Games. It was a fun day for the girls team and we probably set a new record for the longest fitting:-) Some cloths fit well others caused some problems cause they run out of small sizes!! But you will get a better impression when you watch the opening ceremony on TV and cheer for Team Germany :-)

Still hard working....

Right now there is not much time to do anything else but training.....
Since our car broke down two days ago, it takes us even longer....
But as long as everyone gets along very well here, that schouldn't be a problem :-)

Training in the Alps

We, that means one Canadian, one Swiss girl, my coach and me, are in Swizerland for another Trainingcamp for the next three weeks! It's pretty nice up here, though it just started raining... but you never know how quickly the weather changes in the mountains :-)

Officially nominated!

Since last week the German pentathletes are officially nominated for Beijing. For the women's team it will be me and my teammate Eva Trautmann. Eric Walther and Steffen Gebhardt will be sent for the men's competition.

Weekend at home

This was the last time I could go home for a weekend to meet family, friends and former teammates in Niederkassel before I will come back from China.
It was nice to watch that competition in Triathlon in Bonn today... and really makes me wanna go cycling :-)

Worlds in Budapest

A few days ago we got back from Budapest/ Hungary where we competed in Worldchampionships. I had good day at the final, except for a lazy horse. Due to many rails I lost 11 places in the ride but could catch up back to 5th place during the run. After a day of rest we partcipated in the relay event, where we ended up in 4th position. Besides the competition we enjoyed some sightseeing and I could spend some time with friends and family who came to watch.
